Two Weeks, Three Products: Completing My AS Media Final Project

As part of my final AS Level Media Studies project, I was required to produce more than just an opening sequence. Alongside my film opening, I also created a promotional poster and a trailer to support and market my concept. While this added to the workload, it ultimately became one of the most rewarding parts of the entire project.

Completing all three components within a limited timeframe was definitely challenging. I spent an entire week planning, editing, and refining each piece to ensure they were consistent in style, tone, and message. It was important to me that the poster, trailer, and opening sequence all felt connected visually and narratively so that they could effectively represent the same psychological thriller concept.

The process required me to apply a wide range of media skills. From editing and pacing in the trailer to composition and visual design in the poster, I had to think carefully about how to engage an audience across different formats. Each product served a different purpose, but together they helped build a stronger and more complete media package.

Although it was a demanding week, it pushed me to work more efficiently and stay focused under pressure. Looking back, I can see how much I developed not only technically, but also in terms of planning and creativity.

In the end, receiving full marks for this project made all the effort worthwhile. More importantly, it gave me confidence in my ability to produce high-quality work in a short timeframe.

This experience showed me that with clear direction, consistency, and dedication, it is possible to turn a challenging task into a successful outcome, something I will carry forward into future projects.
